MECHATRONICS PROJECT NOTEBOOK
I am currently in my senior year at Kansas State University. One of the classes I am enrolled in is Mechatronics, which is a class that is all about controlling mechanical components via a microcontroller (in our case an Arduino). Most of the assignments for the class revolve around controlling a dual motor assembly via an HM10 Bluetooth module to do various tasks, such as distance monitoring via reading encoder feedback, line following via a QTR sensor array, and even automatic operation of a mounted servo arm while the car is in motion.

What Makes Mechatronics Special to Me?
I enjoy programming and utilizing my mechanical skills to interface with reality. Being able to harness both my programming ability and combine it with the harsh realities of building something in the real world makes mechatronics a very fun class for me. Many of my personal projects incorporate what I'm learning in this class, so it's nice to get formally educated on it. In the future, I hope to expand on this knowledge and create my own fully custom mechatronics projects by leveraging my 3D printing capacities as well as what I've learned in the course.
